Terms & Conditions
MealAdjust is the trading name of Niclas Hjelmtvedt. These terms apply to the MealAdjust service ("the service"), operated by Niclas Hjelmtvedt ("we", "us"). By creating an account or continuing to use the service you agree to these terms. If you use MealAdjust on behalf of an organisation you confirm you have authority to accept these terms for it; otherwise you confirm you are of legal age in your country.
The service
MealAdjust calculates a daily calorie and macronutrient target from the body details you enter and builds meal plans from the foods you select. It is a general nutrition planning tool for healthy adults. It is not medical, dietary or clinical advice, and it does not replace a doctor or a registered dietitian. Speak to a professional before making changes to your diet if you are pregnant, under 18, or managing a medical condition.
Your account
You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date — the calorie target is only as good as the weight, height, age and activity you enter. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for everything that happens under your account.
Acceptable use
You must not use MealAdjust to:
- break any law or infringe anyone's intellectual property;
- upload fraudulent, abusive or spam content, including to the shared food library;
- interfere with the security of the service — no malware, probing, scraping or automated bulk access;
- resell, redistribute or reverse engineer the service, or circumvent plan limits.
Foods you add to the shared library may be visible to other users so the food database improves over time. Do not submit anything you do not want shared.
Subscriptions and payment
Your first meal plan is free. MealAdjust Pro is billed at $7.99 per month or $49.99 per year and renews automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings; access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for.
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns. Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle's Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy.
Intellectual property
We own the service and everything in it — software, food database structure, meal templates, documentation and branding. You get a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use MealAdjust for your own personal planning within the plan you have selected. You keep ownership of the content you enter and grant us a limited licence to host and process it so we can provide the service.
Availability and warranties
We work to keep MealAdjust running, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the fullest extent permitted by law we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss including lost profits, data or goodwill. Nothing here excludes liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence. You indemnify us against claims arising from your unlawful use of the service or your breach of these terms.
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations. You may stop using the service and delete your account at any time from Settings; your plans and foods are deleted with it.
General
These terms are governed by Norwegian law and disputes are subject to the Norwegian courts. You may not assign these terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a merger or acquisition. Neither party is liable for delays caused by events beyond reasonable control. We may update these terms and will change the date below when we do.
